Evidence: Screenshots or logsThe source shows screenshots, a transcript or the agent's output.
PartialThe source says it only partly worked, or had a significant problem a person had to deal with.
What went wrong: Flight events had the wrong lengths and the reminders needed a second prompt.
Outcome
From a flight confirmation email, Comet Assistant opened Google Calendar and created entries with airports and flight numbers for a NJ–London–Dubai–NJ trip, but the entries didn't span the full flight times and the poster had to fix them by hand and re-prompt for the check-in reminders.

Run this task now, exactly as written below. Everything you need is here, so start straight away and only stop if something required is missing. Goal: Put every flight from my confirmation email into my calendar correctly, with check-in reminders. Fill in before running: Which email, and which calendar? What I'll give you: - The confirmation email - Google Calendar access - My home time zone Rules: - Create one event per flight, using the departure and arrival times in each airport's local time zone, so it spans the full flight. - Put the flight number, airports, terminal and confirmation code in each event's description. - Also add a check-in reminder 24 hours before each departure, in the same run. - Read back every event's start and end time to check. Output: A list of events created (times with time zones) and reminders. You'll know it worked when: each event covers the real flight time and every reminder is there.

The source used Perplexity Comet Assistant, which can take actions in a browser or app. These are general chat tools, so results may differ, and a normal chat may only give you a plan.

The prompt they actually used (our rebuild)
The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote this from what it describes.
Add these flights to my Google Calendar as events, and add reminders to check in 24 hours before each flight.
Optional stronger version
Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.
Run this task now, exactly as written below. Everything you need is here, so start straight away and only stop if something required is missing. Goal: Put every flight from my confirmation email into Google Calendar with correct durations and check-in reminders. Inputs (fill in or confirm): - The confirmation email - Calendar to use - Home time zone - Reminder timing (e.g. 24 hours before for check-in) Rules: - Create one event per flight segment using departure time in the departure airport's time zone and arrival in the arrival airport's time zone. - Compute duration from those times; check it against the airline's stated flight time. - Title: airline + flight number + route; description: confirmation code, terminal, seat, baggage. - Add the check-in reminder to every event in the same pass. What went wrong before, and how to avoid it: - Last time events had wrong lengths and reminders needed a second prompt: set time zones per airport and add reminders immediately. If you get stuck: If a time zone is ambiguous, ask instead of assuming. If a login, CAPTCHA or two-step code appears, stop and ask me to handle it; never guess or store passwords. Verify before you finish: Open each event and compare start, end and duration with the email. Output: List of events created with start, end, duration and reminders. Done when: every flight shows the right length and reminders without a second prompt.

A traveller planned a Hong Kong trip mainly with Gemini, using Grok and ChatGPT as extras, to organise locations, build itineraries, make packing lists and turn store addresses into Google Maps links. The traveller says routes were logical and personalised, but the AIs sometimes produced convincing addresses that didn't exist, and got names, opening hours or whether shops were still open wrong. Next time they'd verify every important detail on maps and official sites.

ZDNet's tester asked Google's AI Mode trip-planning tool to plan a five-day New York City trip focused on historical sites and museums, then asked it to add flights; it researched Charlotte-to-NYC options and added a Flights tab with three major-airline choices to the itinerary. The tester says everything was well organized in Canvas, with Google reviews alongside each stop.
