Prompt Recreated prompt

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote this from what it describes.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: Book a rental car that fits my trip.

Quick-check questions: Where and when (pick-up and drop-off), what kind of car, and what budget?

What I'll give you:
- Pick-up/drop-off place, dates and times
- Car size and budget
- Driver details (I'll enter payment myself)

Rules:
- Compare at least 3 options from at least two rental companies, with the full price including taxes and fees.
- For each, note insurance options, fuel policy, mileage limit and cancellation terms.
- Stop before payment so I can review and pay, then give me the confirmation details.

Output: Three options, then the booking summary and confirmation.

If my answers leave a gap, make a sensible choice, say what you assumed, and keep going.

You'll know it worked when: I have a confirmed rental at the price I approved.

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini opens empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

Opens in a new tab. We don't see what you send.

Our rewrite with extra checks. The poster didn't test it.

Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about the details below and wait for my answers. Once I've answered, confirm the plan in one line and run the whole task start to finish.

Goal: Book a rental car that fits my trip, with my final approval.

Questions to ask me first:
- Where and when are pick-up and drop-off?
- What size of car and what budget?
- Do you already have rental insurance through a card?

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Pick-up/drop-off place, dates, times
- Car size and budget
- Driver details
- Additional drivers and age

Rules:
- Compare at least 3 options with full price including fees and insurance.
- Check fuel policy, mileage and deposit.
- Prefer pick-up inside the terminal unless much cheaper.
- Note cancellation terms.
- Flag young-driver or one-way fees.
- Check insurance options.
- Stop before payment.
- Compare total price with taxes and fees across at least two sites.
- Check mileage limits and fuel policy.
- Check the pick-up desk hours fit my arrival.

Checkpoint: Stop before payment.

If you get stuck: If login is needed, ask. If a login, CAPTCHA or two-step code appears, stop and ask me to handle it; never guess or store passwords.

Verify before you finish: Check dates, times and location on the summary.

Output: Comparison table and booking page ready.

Done when: I can book the right car at a known total.

  • Book a whole weekend trip in 30 minutes with ChatGPT WorkRecreated promptEvidence: Described by poster

ChatGPT read the poster's chat with their girlfriend, proposed itinerary options, staged an Airbnb, rental car, fishing gear and dinner reservations through browser use, then made a shareable trip page after the poster booked.

  • neom spent two hours trying ChatGPT's Dots agent and grades it B-. Asked to figure out a trip, it did; neom booked the flight and hotel, and Dots noticed the shuttle hadn't been booked and offered to book it with the details they'd discussed. But after neom said yes, it went back to the site, re-checked the details, asked for confirmation, filled in the booking form and then asked again whether to book. It can sign in with passwords, but wouldn't fetch two-factor codes from email even with email access, and its permissions checker rejected broad rules neom wrote, such as proceeding with routine, reversible actions without asking. neom finds it faster to use regular chat.

  • Xcelerate needed two rental cars that could each carry seven people for a trip to Maine, and had memberships with Avis, Hertz, Costco and Chase's travel portal; checking every combination by hand would have taken forever. They wrote a Codex prompt in 20 minutes and let it use the browser directly. It queued any CAPTCHAs for them to solve, and a sub-agent searched Reddit for other people's ways of getting good rental deals. It found a third-party Avis reseller charging $600 with a discount code, against $1,100 cheapest from Avis directly. By those quoted prices that's about $500 less for both cars (the poster calls it a $1,000 saving), and they say they wouldn't have found it without about a week of manual searching.
