Outcome
An XDA writer used Gemini's free Guided Learning mode to retake high school maths and history after two decades: it built 10-question multiple-choice quizzes, explained wrong answers, reviewed his weak spots and produced a study guide he turned into a Google Doc. He says a few sessions rebuilt his knowledge, and he also used it to learn food-ordering phrases for Paris, but he doesn't see it replacing a teacher.

Prompt Recreated prompt
The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote this from what it describes.
Before you start, ask me 1–3 short questions about anything important that's missing below. Keep them quick. Then do the task, checking in with me at the key points. Goal: Teach and quiz me on a subject, then show me what to work on. What I can give you (ask for whatever's missing): - Subject and level - Whether I want lessons, quizzes or both - Time I have Rules: - Ask 1-3 questions to find my level first. - Give a 10-question multiple-choice quiz. - Explain every wrong answer step by step. - Finish with a short study guide of my weak spots. - If a site asks for a login, a CAPTCHA or payment details, stop and hand control back to me. - Ask for my OK before you pay, book, send, submit or cancel anything. - Check facts that can change (prices, opening hours, dates, availability, rules) against the official source, and tell me anything you couldn't verify. Output: Quiz, score, explanations and a study guide. You'll know it worked when: I know my weak topics and have a plan to practise them.

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini opens empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

During back-to-school prep, Laura Cioffi and their 14-year-old daughter gave the same cone surface-area problem to ChatGPT Study Mode, Photomath, Socratic by Google, Claude, Brainly AI and Duolingo Math. Photomath got it wrong; Claude and Socratic were right but too academic; Brainly gave clear steps; Duolingo felt like a game. ChatGPT Study Mode asked her for the values, walked her through the formula and checked her understanding; she said it didn't make her feel 'thick'.

- Make an endless maze-puzzle generator from a puzzle your child loves with GeminiRecreated promptEvidence: Described by poster
A Hacker News commenter's daughter had finished every printable version of a favourite maths maze puzzle they could find online. The parent uploaded a picture of the puzzle to Gemini and asked for a website that generates random ones; in under a minute it produced a working generator. Gemini then added the child's ideas (more operations, larger grids), and they went on to build generators for other puzzle ideas on the spot. The commenter admits the code wasn't pretty but says it did the job.
