Prompt Recreated prompt

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote this from what it describes.

Sends the Recreated prompt shown above. ChatGPT and Grok open with it filled in, and ChatGPT may send it straight away. Gemini opens empty, so we copy the prompt for you to paste. Every button also copies it.

The source used Perplexity Comet Assistant, which can take actions in a browser or app. These are general chat tools, so results may differ, and a normal chat may only give you a plan.

Goal: Create a Steam account for me with [EMAIL], stopping at every step that needs me.

Inputs (fill in or confirm):
- Email address to use
- Preferred account name (and two backups)
- Country/region
- Age confirmation and parental controls, if needed

Rules:
- Use only store.steampowered.com; check the URL before entering anything.
- Generate a strong password suggestion but let me type the final password myself.
- Decline marketing emails and optional data sharing.
- Don't add payment methods or buy anything.
- Turn on Steam Guard and tell me how to finish it.
- Use only Steam's official site (store.steampowered.com).
- Confirm the email address with me before submitting.
- Let me read the subscriber agreement summary before ticking it.
- Stop at the email verification step and tell me to check my inbox.

Checkpoint: Pause for me to complete the email verification and any CAPTCHA or two-step code; never guess or store passwords.

If you get stuck: If the account name is taken, try my backups, then suggest two more.

Verify before you finish: Confirm the account page shows the right email and region.

Output: Account name, region, and a list of settings chosen.

Done when: I can sign in to the new Steam account with my own password.

  • Evan Solomon asked Claude in Chrome to fill out three web onboarding forms using information scattered across their Google Drive. It worked very well: it read the pages, found the information in Drive, filled the fields and handled multi-step forms with almost no hand-holding. But it took 574 model round-trips and about 223M tokens, roughly $350-400 in API-equivalent compute, and used up the Max plan's 5-hour window in one session. Solomon notes it was slow, got slower and pricier as the session grew, and that running it on the top model was a mistake for form-filling.

When home care didn't clear up their symptoms, X user David Lermarl had Grok help write the online request form for their GP practice. They say the appointment took less than five minutes, they came away with the medicine they needed, and the doctor thought the approach was great, while noting it may not work every time.
